IANTD — International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers

The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) is a training organization. It provides certifications for advanced gas use and complex diving tasks. You will see their logos in shops from Koh Tao to Komodo.

They focus on technical skills. This includes decompression diving, mixed gases, and rebreather operations. Many divers choose them because their curriculum often covers specific gas blending math early on. While some agencies stick to recreational limits, IANTD pushes into deeper, more complex territory.

Check your local shop first. Some small agencies in Cebu might only offer PADI or SSI. If you want an IANTD course, verify the instructor holds a current technical rating before you pay any deposits.
